This is the Masters of the Universe Origins Sketchbook Series He-Man, released as a 2025 Target Exclusive. The Sketchbook Series is a collector-focused sub-line within the MOTU Origins lineup that draws on the original 1980s pre-production concept drawings — the raw, early iterations of Eternia's characters before they became the final iconic designs fans know. He-Man's Sketchbook release depicts him as "Musclor," his earliest concept name, with a slightly different look from the finalized Origins He-Man: a distinctive alternate helmeted head and subtle design choices that reflect the figure's archival origins. The packaging features sketch-style artwork and pencil illustration inserts that make it as striking on the card as it is off it.
This particular example is unpunched — the hang tab on the card has never been punched through, meaning this figure was never hung on a retail peg. For MOC (Mint on Card) display collectors, unpunched examples are the gold standard: the card is in its original, unperforated condition as it left the factory. Combined with the Target Exclusive status and the Sketchbook Series' concept art hook, this is a strong display piece for any Origins or vintage-style MOTU collection.
