This bundle pairs the two anchor figures of the MOTU Origins Sketchbook Series — both Target Exclusives, both drawn directly from Mark Taylor's original 1980s pre-production concept art that predates the finalized Eternia character designs. The Sketchbook Series is one of the most creatively distinctive sub-lines Mattel has produced within the Origins collection: instead of returning to familiar animated or vintage toy designs, each figure interprets a raw archival sketch, giving long-time collectors something genuinely new while honoring the deepest roots of the franchise. He-Man is presented as "Musclor" — his earliest concept-stage name — with design details that diverge from the standard Origins He-Man in subtle but meaningful ways. Man-E-Faces arrives with three entirely new concept-stage face sculpts (Human, Robot, Monster) based on Taylor's original drawing that have never before appeared in the Origins line, along with a bold removable poncho that gives him a look unlike any previous version of the character.
Both figures are produced at 5.5-inch scale with 16 points of articulation and packaged in the Sketchbook Series' distinctive black-and-white sketch-art card design with color graphics, making them as striking on the card as they are off it. Man-E-Faces is a 2026 release currently ranked #20 in value within the MOTU Origins category with active BIN prices running $50–$65 — a strong signal for a figure still building its secondary market. He-Man arrived in 2025 and has settled into a consistent premium above retail for clean sealed copies. Together they represent the complete core of the Sketchbook Series' Heroic Warrior releases and make a striking display pair for any serious Origins collection.
